I got my first SLR at the age of 16 and was hooked in the world of photography.
I spent many a happy hour in my darkroom, always amazed as i watched the pictures
magically appear in the developing tank. Back then I had to try and make each picture
I took a good one because each shot cost money, first you had to develop the film and
then make the prints to see if they were good or not. The world has changed now with digital,
with the built in camera view you get a good idea if the lighting is right and when on your
computer you can check the rest to see if it's a keeper or not. I like to think the years
i spent with roll film was the making of the photographer I am today, trying to make each
shot a winning shot.
I was born in Leeds England 1961 and after some years of travel I settled here in Germany. I'm the proud father of Merlin and Robin born in 1995. I live in the south of Germany in a small village close to Crailsheim.
